Promotions for York St John staff

Academic staff at York St John have been recognised in this year’s round of promotions.

Three lecturers have been promoted to Professor: Dr Matthew Reason, Theatre, Faculty of Arts; Dr Steve Watson, Business & Communication, Business School; Dr Jacqueline Akhurst, Psychology, Faculty of Health & Life Sciences.

Four members of staff have been awarded the title of Associate Professor: Dr Steven Gibson, Psychology, Faculty of Health & Life Sciences; Mandy Asghar, Learning & Teaching Development; Dr Nick Rowe, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences/Faculty of Arts; Dr Claire Hind, Theatre, Faculty of Arts.

Professor David Fleming, Vice Chancellor, said: “Central to the University’s strategy is its commitment to support and recognise academic excellence. As a result I am delighted to announce these promotions.
